Feeling My Way

1987 - 1988
Teaching at the residential multi-disciplinary Yale University summer school expanded my photographic direction. In particular, being around painters expanded my understanding of how to think about different aspects of creating a two-dimensional work of art. Specifically I collaborated with Susana V. Jacobson on a great number of these photographs. Formal concerns became a legitimate anchor for photographs while emotional content became more diversified.

8x10” contact prints, 20x24” Polaroid prints, 2 ¼ x 2 ¼” Polaroids - I was obsessed with scale.
